The “Reason” field can be added to the cancellation policy pop-up window that displays when appointments are canceled in Site Administration, or through the Customer View. Any notes added within the “Reason” field can be viewed later within the customer Appointment History Details. You can also find the cancellation reason notes in the reports section by selecting the “Cancel Reason” field when running an Appointment Report. The preferences to enable the feature can be found within the “Appointments” section of Preferences.

Enable the Customer View

GO TO: Settings > Appointments > “Require a reason for cancellation on the front end” > Yes > Update.

Enable for Site Administration

GO TO: Settings > Appointments > “Require a reason for cancellation in admin” > Yes > Update.

NOTE: The “Reason” field will only display if the cancellation policy pop-up window is also enabled.

Show your cancellation policy

Enable the cancellation policy pop-up within the Customer View

GO TO: Settings > Appointments > “Display cancellation policy popup on the front end when a customer cancels” > Yes > Update
