What happens when I set a Staff Member to inactive status?

There are a variety of reasons why you would need to change the status of an existing Staff Member profile. Maybe they have been promoted to a manager and no longer provide a Service for Customers or they have moved on and left your business. In these or other situations, you need to make sure that Customers are unable to book future Appointments with these Staff Members. You would change the Staff Member's profile status from Active to Inactive.

Before you make this profile status change, you should review any future Appointments already scheduled with the Staff Member. In order to ensure that Appointments will not disappear from the calendar grid, which may cause Customers of those Appointments to be unattended, you will want to reassign those Appointments to another active Staff Member.

While you can continue to change the Staff Member's profile status, we recommend that you first run an Appointment Report to identify any Appointments (single instance or recurring series) that are impacted by the change. You can then move these Appointments individually to another Staff Member that is able to fulfill the Service scheduled.
