APPOINTMENT VERSION: Single & Multiple

DaySmart Appointments allows for two specific types of scheduling. You can schedule 1-to-1 (1 Staff Member with 1 customer) using Services and Add-on Services, or schedule group appointments (with multiple customers) for specific days using Events.

Services

Services are used for Appointments scheduled for any available time and duration, with a specified Staff Member. A service duration can be modified when scheduling appointments in Site Administration but cannot be modified when scheduling as a Customer.

Add-on Services

An Add-on Service is a type of Service that cannot stand alone and can only be added to an existing Service. For example, an Add-On Service for a hairstylist might be a shampoo. Add-On Services might also be products offered to customers.

Events

An Event is a group appointment with set starting time on set day, or days, with a maximum number of people that can attend. This type of appointment should be considered when setting up groups or classes that are one-time events, or events that only occur a few times. For example, if your organization holds workshops, seminars, etc., the events functionality is a good fit to utilize. When selecting this option, additional information will appear in your set up box.

A start time will need to be selected as well as the day(s) the Event is held. The maximum number of participants also needs to be specified. If selected, the multi-day format will automatically assign a customer to all days the event is held.

It is important to remember that the Events functionality displays differently in both Site Administration and on the Customer View โ€“ these are standalone events for which your customers may register.

Once events are created, your events list can be viewed by clicking on the Appointments tab and then clicking on the View All Events link under the calendars on the left side of the page. The registration of customers for events can also be viewed from here.
