As part of this initiative, we have expanded the SMS offerings. Currently, our product only offers SMS reminders about the upcoming appointments.

As part of the enhancements, Clients will be able to enable the SMS notifications for SMS Confirmation, Cancellation, Confirmed, Changes (Dates, Staff or Service), No Show and/or Completion of an appointment. As part of this change, we have also enhanced the user experience.


Please find the user flows and functionality.

  1. Existing ‘SMS Template’ and ‘Settings’ options are moved from Marketplace >> SMS Appointment Notification to Settings >> Notifications.

2. SMS Templates

  • Go to Settings

  • Under Notifications, click on ‘SMS’ link.

  • It will show a list of ‘Appointment Statuses’, 'Description' and 'Status of SMS Template'.

    Please find below screenshot for reference.

  • Upon selecting any link from ‘Name’ column, users will be navigated to 'Update Template' page. They will then be able to active or deactivate the template and/or make changes to the message.

  • Below is the functionality of the screen,

    1. Status: User can change the status of the template from Active to In-Active and vice versa.

    2. Select Location: By Default, the login location details will be displayed.

      1. Upon the drop-down, the list will display current location, HQ location and locations which have selected “Separate Location SMS Notifications” as ‘Yes’, while creating a location.

Note - By default, it is set to ‘No’. We can change it from location update wizard.

  • Include Additions Info: Allows users to add tokens like Date, Time, Service, Staff, Room et; which will get replaced with actual values when sending SMS to end users.

  • Text area: where users can update the SMS template.

  • There are 2 buttons, ‘Update All Locations’ and ‘Update Location’.

    1. Update Location – Will update SMS template for the selected location.

    2. Update all Locations – Will update the location for all the locations.

  • Preview button will give a pop-up window, which will display the message that goes to the end user.

  1. SMS Settings

    1. Go to Settings

    2. Under Notifications, click on ‘SMS Settings’ link.

  1. SMS Settings allows admin to change the following settings,

    1. Select Location: By default, the current location will be selected. User can change the Location to which the settings to be applied. The location dropdown will have HQ location and the location which are not sharing the HQ values.

    2. Default setting for SMS opt-in for customer while creating an appointment.

    3. How far in advance do you want to reminder to send reminder before the appointment start time?

    4. Option to append message “Reply with 1” to the message to confirm the appointment through reply to messages.

    5. Optional field to add an Acknowledgement message when end user replies with 1 to confirm his appointment from his mobile.

    6. Option to append message “Reply with 0” to the message to Cancel the appointment through reply to messages.

    7. Optional field to add an Acknowledgement message when end user replies with 0 to cancel the appointment from his mobile.

    8. There are 2 buttons, ‘Update All Locations’ and ‘Update Location’.

      1. Update Location – Will update SMS template for the selected location.

      2. Update all Locations – Will update the location for all the locations.
