How can I overlap appointments?

Depending on what version of DaySmart Appointments you're using, you can adjust the settings indicated below to enable Overlapping Appointments.

To Enable for Single Appointment Per Time Slot version:

  • Click Settings

  • Click Appointments

  • Locate and set #29 If using the one appointment per time slot version, allow additional appointments to be made in the same time slot (only applies to site administration) and allow overlapping appointments to Yes

  • Click Update

To Enable for Multiple Appointments Per Time Slot Version:

  • Click Settings

  • Click Appointments

  • Locate and set #41 If using the multiple appointments per time slot version, allow appointments to span to other time slots to Yes

  • Click Update

The Overlapping Appointments feature will allow you to add additional Appointments in a slot that is already occupied.

To add extra Appointments, click on the plus icon (

) next to the Appointment in the appropriate slot. When the setting described above is set to No, the plus icon will not show next to existing Appointments.

โ€‹Note: Appointments can only overlap when scheduled through Site Administration. Customers will not be able to double book time slots through the Customer View.

If you need to book Multiple Appointments in one timeslot on a consistant basis, you will need to update your version of the system to the Multiple Appointments Per Time Slot version.
