We’ve made it even easier to adjust appointments and reserved times in your DaySmart Appointments calendar! The Drag & Drop feature will let you:

    • Change the date and time of appointments & reserved times.

    • Move appointments & reserve times to a different schedule.

    • Adjust the Duration of appointments & reserve times.

How to enable

The Drag & Drop feature is automatically enabled when using the Single Appointment Per Time Slot version DaySmart Appointments. You will not need to make preference changes to enable Drag & Drop, however, we do recommend clearing the cache of your web browser after Drag & Drop is added to your account environment

NOTE: Drag & Drop is not currently available when using the Multiple Appointments Per Time Slot version.

How it works

To drag an appointment to another time slot:

Left click on the appointment and hold down the left mouse button, then move your mouse cursor and drag the appointment to another time slot. Release the left mouse button when the time slot you are moving the appointment to is highlighted.

After releasing the left mouse button, use the "Move Appointment" pop-up window to confirm, or cancel the changes. Select the Update button to save the changes, or click the Close

TIP: You can use Drag & Drop to update the Start Time as well as the Staff Member of an Appointment and Reserved Time.

To extend the duration of an appointment:

Left click on the appointment to select it, then left-click and hold on the Resize icon at the bottom right corner. Move your mouse cursor down to extend the duration of the appointment, then release the left mouse button. As explained above, you will use the Move Appointment pop-up window to confirm or cancel the changes after modifying the duration of an appointment or reserved time.

NOTE: We recommend clearing the cache of the web browser you are using after Drag & Drop is enabled in your account environment. This may help to eliminate any display issues you might be experiencing.
