Important Product Update

Due to recent changes in text carrier regulations (such as T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, etc.), starting Thursday, April 18, the following updates will be made to DaySmart’s text messaging service:

  • All text messages to clients will now include the sender information, clearly stating "Powered by DaySmart" at the end of each message. This ensures the business registered with the text carriers is transparent.

  • We will also transition to standardized text messaging templates. As an existing user of DaySmart texting services, your message template will remain as it is currently. However, any future changes will be limited to the templates offered.

These changes are essential to ensure compliance with new text carrier standards and to guarantee the successful delivery of your text reminders to clients. There is no action needed on your end for these changes to go into effect. If you have questions, please contact support by submitting a help ticket or chat with an agent live. What if I don't want "Powered by DaySmart" added to my messages or want the ability to customize messages more than than the templates provide?

You will need to register to have your own brand and campaign. Below are the prerequisites and information needed to register your own brand:

  • Entity type - private, public, non-profit, or sole proprietor

  • Company Name - the legal name of your business

    • Please be sure that your current business name matches the business name that is associated with your registered EIN. If it does not, an update to your business name is required.

  • EIN (Tax ID) for U.S. businesses OR Business Number for Canadian businesses

  • Phone - this will be the phone number for your business.

    • Mobile Number - mobile number of the business owner. An OTP will be sent to this number for verification (applicable for Sole Proprietor entities only)

  • Update Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy URLs with the following language:

    • Terms and Conditions - By enrolling for messaging and notifications with Business Name, you will receive appointment updates and reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to cancel. Carriers are not liable for delays or undelivered messages.

    • Public Policy - No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

  • Stock Symbol - the stock symbol of your company (applicable for Public entities only)

  • Stock Exchange - the stock exchange of your company (applicable for Public entities only)


How To Register My Brand

Please submit a support ticket and one of our Support Agents will connect with you shortly to assist you with creating your Brand.
Upon Brand and Campaign approval, you can add credits in ‘Manage Credits’ from Marketplace and set the templates and settings from the Settings > Notifications menu.


What If I Already Have the SMS Reminders Active?

Existing users with active SMS plug-in and who choose to be on DaySmart Brand and Campaign, their edit privileges for SMS templates will be freeze and a ‘Powered by DaySmart’ will be added at the end of each message sent to your customers.

How long will it take for a new brand and campaign to get approved?

It will take between 3 and 4 weeks. All prerequisites must be in place and correct before registering or you will get denied. We know this takes time, but we are asking that you have your registration completed by next Friday, March 22.

What if I don't have an EIN (Tax ID)?

If you are a Sole Proprietor, you will need to provide an accurate mobile number. You can only verify your Sole Proprietor brands with a U.S. or Canadian number form a mobile provider. You will receive a message to this number prompting you to opt-in to services and verify your business status at the time of registration. You must reply yes within 24 hours or your account will be denied.

Warning: Please make sure you understand that, if you declare you are eligible for Sole Proprietor brand registration, but are subsequently found to have an EIN or equivalent Tax ID, your campaign registration will error.

When do I need to complete this by?

To ensure compliance with the new standards and to guarantee the successful delivery of your text reminders, we will be making these changes on Thursday, April 18. If you plan to register for your own brand and campaign, please update the requested information as soon as possible and register no later than Friday, March 22, 2024. Accounts not registered correctly by March 22, 2024 will adhere to our updates starting April 18, 2024.

Note – Our Support team will be able to complete the Brand and Campaign registration from the Appointments portal.
