Location Attributes Overview

DS Logo (002).jpg
  • PRICING TIER: Platinum

  • APPOINTMENT VERSION: Single & Multiple

The Location Attributes feature lets you create and assign multiple levels of organization to each account location. This feature requires the DaySmart Appointments API to show each level of organization through a custom interface. Users can then select from each level of organization (Attributes and Values) to find the locations that meet their criteria.

How It Works

Setting Up Attributes & Values

Start by clicking on the Lists tab.

NOTE: The Lists tab will only appear when the Headquarters Location is selected.

Click on the Location Attributes or Location Attribute Values links to Add, Edit, and Delete attributes and values.

To add a new attribute or value, click on the Add New button at the top right corner of each section.

NOTE: You will need to create your Location Attributes prior to assigning Attribute Values to them.

To edit existing items, select the name of the attribute or value from the list within each section.

To delete existing items, click the Delete link next to the Attribute or Value

NOTE: Deleting an Attribute will also delete all the values assigned to it for all locations

Field Descriptions

  • Attribute: The highest level of organization assigned to a location.

  • Value: The second level of organization associated with an attribute.

  • Assigned Locations (Count): The number of Locations the Attribute or Value is assigned to.

  • Max Values: The maximum number of values that can be assigned to an attribute. (Leaving this field blank will allow an unlimited number of values to be assigned to the attribute)

  • Min Values: The minimum number of values that must be assigned to the attribute.

  • Status: Setting items to Enabled will allow Values to be assigned to Attributes. Disabled items cannot be assigned to locations. When set to Disabled, any Attribute Values assigned to the Location Attribute will be disabled for all locations.

  • Values Count: The number of Values assigned to an Attribute.

Managing Attributes & Values

To manage the assignments of attributes and values for a specific location, click on the Lists tab, then click on the Manage Attributes button next to the name of the location. (You will also see the Manage Attributes button after selecting the Settings tab when viewing each location)

NOTE: Users with the access type of "Location Administrator" will only have access to manage attributes and values for their designated location.
