Why doesn't my sales report balance?

The totals in the payment part of the report will not always equal the totals in the top part of the report. The top part represents sales for that period. The bottom represents payments for that period. So, if you had a partially paid transaction from last month and the balance was paid this month, it would show up in the payments section, but not the sales section.
