PRICING TIER: All
APPOINTMENT VERSION: Single & Multiple
When you create a service, you are prompted to enter a duration for the service.
If you have a 1-hour service and do not need any buffer time between appointments, you would enter a duration of “1 hour”.
If, for example, you need a 15-minute buffer between appointments, you would enter a duration of “1 hour and 15 minutes”. The customer will not see the duration value that you enter. It is only used to tell the system how much time to allocate for the appointment.
Note that when you assign a service to a staff member, the system allows you to override the duration of the service for that particular staff member.
Therefore, when appointments are being made, the system will look for the duration value assigned to the staff member to determine how much time to allocate to the appointment.
This is very important to note because if at a later time, you decide to change the duration of service, you must also change the duration of that service for each of your staff members.
