How can I turn off the ability to reserve calendar time?

In addition to scheduling Appointments, the DaySmart Appointments system offers the ability to Reserve time for Staff Members. Reserving time blocks that time from being available for Appointments.

By default, the system allows Staff Members to create either Appointments or Reserves on the calendar. However, if you wish to only allow Staff Members to schedule Appointments, you can disable the Reserve option.

  1. Click Settings.

  2. Click Appointments.

  3. Look for the following option: Turn off the ability to reserve time slots on the appointment grid. It will also disallow the canceling of reserved time if the reserved time was made via the staff member's section.

  4. Set this to Yes.

  5. Click Update.

When you return to the calendar, you'll see only the + icon on the calendar. The lightning bolt

will be removed.
