Security is an ongoing process when it comes to online software applications. Protecting sensitive client data is key to the success of any company. One step in protecting client data is implementing an automatic inactivity logout. The default is set to a 60-minute automatic inactivity logout feature for DaySmart Appointments administrative users.

The inactivity timer starts after each administrative click within your DaySmart Appointments account. Once the timer reaches 59 minutes, you will be presented with a logout countdown notice.

During the 60 second countdown, you have the ability to continue your session by clicking any of the side or header navigation links, or the "Stay Logged In" button. Once you make any of these selections during the countdown, the countdown message will be removed and your inactivity timer will reset. If you don't click on anything to continue your session, you will be presented with a new login page with a message as to why you were logged out.

Logout settings

The default setting for the automatic logout is set to 60 minutes but you can adjust this duration in the Settings section. The options range from 5-480 minutes of inactivity.

GO TO: Settings tab > General > Preference #11
